Tordigliano Beach

Tordigliano Beach

Tordigliano Beach, near Positano, is one of the wildest and most unspoiled stretches of coast in the area. Set below high limestone cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation, it has a raw and natural character that feels very different from the more famous and serviced beaches of Positano. The shoreline is long, quiet, and made mostly of pebbles and coarse dark sand, while the sea is usually clear, deep, and beautifully transparent, with a sense of space and privacy that is now rare on the Amalfi Coast. The beach lies in a more isolated section of coastline between Positano and the Sorrento Peninsula, far from the town center and far from the usual beach clubs, traffic, and crowds.

For this reason, Tordigliano is preferably reached by boat. Access by land is possible, but it involves a demanding descent on paths and a much less practical approach, especially for guests who want comfort, flexibility, or a relaxed beach stop during a day at sea. Reaching it by boat is easier, more elegant, and much more enjoyable: it allows guests to arrive directly in front of the bay, avoid the long walk, enjoy the coastline from the water, and stop for a swim in a setting that feels hidden and exclusive. Arriving by sea also makes it possible to combine Tordigliano with other highlights along the coast in the same day, while keeping full freedom on timing and itinerary.

What makes Tordigliano especially appealing from the water is its scenery. The cliffs rise sharply above the beach, the coast looks dramatic and untouched, and the bay has a calm, authentic beauty that is best appreciated from a boat. It is the kind of place that suits guests looking for a more private and natural side of the Amalfi Coast, away from the more crowded and commercial spots. By boat, the experience becomes not only more convenient, but also more consistent with the beauty of the place itself.
